Footprints Across the Loddon Plains

A shared history by Paul Haw & Margaret Munro

Published in 2010, Footprints across the Loddon Plains is co-authored by Margaret Munro and the founder of the Yung Balug Museum, Paul Haw. With 437 pages, the book extensively documents the rich history of the Aboriginal people and the early settlers of the Loddon Plains area around Boort, the home of the Yung Balug Clan. This area has one of the richest Aboriginal records in the state and it is all recorded carefully within the pages of the book. Also included in the book are extracts from the journal of one of the first European Settlers to the area, Fredric Godfrey. In his journal he details his interactions with the local Yung Bulag Clan. Footprints across the Loddon Plains is a significant contribution to Australian history and a must read for all students of history.
